Happy Halloween!

We had quite a bit of fun for Halloween this year.
Last Friday was our ward Trunk or Treat. We all got dressed up and had fun visiting with friends and handing out candy to the kids.

Before we went, I made Lil' O a couple tribbles to go with his costume. He loves them!

At the Trunk or Treat Lil' O wanted to be just like Dad. If Dad was up, he wanted to be up, if Dad was leaning against the wall, that's what he wanted to do...

Just as we were about to get a family pic in our costumes, they announced that it was time to get our trunks ready for the trick or treating, so we didn't end up getting a picture together. We all looked so awesome in our matching Star Trek costumes, though. It was so fun!

Since Oliver doesn't want to take candy from strangers it seemed silly to try to go trick or treating this year, so he and I just chilled at home and watched it rain. Oliver loves the rain and will watch it forever. When we went out to get the mail he insisted on standing out in it until he started to get soaked, silly kid!

He loves Dad's hat.

After he'd been out in the rain.

He and I also had fun learning how to drum tonight...

Have a good week, and don't forget to enjoy the rain! :)

A Day In the Life

We're missing all of you today, and wishing you could be here to see all of Lil' O's antics. So, I decided to try to document a day in his life for you.

He started out by sleeping in until 10:40 this morning, almost 3 hrs. later than usual!
Since he missed so much daylight this morning, he had to make up for it by being an extra-busy boy today.

Checking out the tupperware is one of his favorite things to do. When I clean up each night, I find the tupperware all over the house!

Sometimes he makes the rounds and checks other things out, too.
This little pink light-up guy is his new best friend, it's so cute!

Sometimes he wrestles with his giant teddy bear, and lately he's been carrying him around, too. It's so funny because the bear is about his same size, if not bigger, so he can only make it a couple steps before he trips over the bear and they both topple over. He then gets up and goes for it again. He's a very determined boy!

We had the stroller in the apartment from our walk yesterday and today he decided to climb inside...

After this we went to meet Dad up on campus and go see Mike the Tiger. Lil' O loved seeing Mike and kept saying "kitty, kitty!" He then walked all around for about a half hour before he and I started for home. He insisted on pushing the stroller part of the way home and was a very sleepy boy by the time we got back.

Just before bed he got to paint his pumpkin, and he thought that was pretty neat...

So that's a day in the life of our Lil' O.

Getting Excited for Halloween!

Last weekend Dad needed a quick break from his homework, so we drug him with us to the market to find Lil' O a pumpkin. It was our first time at the open-air produce market that is closest to us, and we loved it! I'll definitely be going back there for some fruits and veggies! It was a fun night out as a family.

When we got back, Lil' O kept pointing to his Halloween costume, so we helped him put it on.
Here are some videos of him walking, playing, and checking out his pumpkin...

We started playing peek-a-boo with my star trek shirt and then he just walked away with it on his head and thought he was so funny! It was really cute!

He then wanted to see what I was doing with the camera and to take a couple pictures himself, so here's his first pictures...
I think they're pretty good!

He was too busy for me to get a picture of him with his pumpkin...

but here's some video of him checking out the pumpkin, and talking on the "phone."

Now I just need to find him a tribble to carry... :)

First Steps

Before Lil' O and I went to Idaho he was getting pretty close to walking, but hadn't taken his first steps yet. I didn't push him too much while we were gone, because I knew it would be so sad if he did it while Mike couldn't be there to see it!
So, while we were visiting Sarah in Rexburg, Sarah and I left Lil' O with Uncle Austin and Uncle Eric for a bit while we went shopping. When we got back, Oliver was taking a couple steps!!
Here's the video of some of his first steps.

We were so sad Mike missed it, but he was still just starting when we got home, so Mike got to see some for himself, too. :)
Now I can't believe what a go-er he is! Last Sunday he started standing up in the middle of the room by himself, and then the next day he tried a couple steps, and today he almost crossed the entire apartment to get to me! He's such a big boy!!

For dinner we had pasta and I think Lil' O liked it, what do you think?

Lately, he loves to be like Mom and Dad. After I got done practicing the piano the other day, he climbed right up on the bench and proceeded to compose a song for me, I loved it! :)

We're Back!

Sorry I went MIA for a bit, we just took a great trip to Idaho for 3 weeks!
Lil' O and I left Mike in Louisiana to keep going to school while we spent some time with my family.
It was such a great trip.
I was nervous for the plane rides there, but Oliver was so good and we made our layover just right so everything went smoothly!
Here's Oliver pushing his stroller around in the New Orleans Airport while we waited for our first flight.

Oliver remembered his Grandma Fisher from when she came to visit in June, and immediately loved his Grandpa Fisher and Uncle Austin when we saw them after we got off the plane.
When we got to my parent's house, he couldn't stop watching Aunt Lindsay, she's just so full of energy and fun! They didn't stop playing the whole time we were there. :)
He also loved getting to know his Great-Grandma's and Great-Grandpa's, and they all think he's a cutie. He loves playing at their houses!
It usually took a few minutes for Oliver to warm up to someone before he would go to them, but when Aunt Sarah came, he immediately went to her and thought she and Uncle Eric were the greatest. We had so much fun spending a couple days with them at their cute apartment in Rexburg and then one more evening with them at the Hot Pots in Lava the weekend before we came home.

It was such a great opportunity to spend so much time with my family, I'm so grateful to my parents for purchasing our plane tickets so we could go!
There were lots of cute pictures from things we did, but they're all on my Mom's camera, so I'll have to get them from her and post some for you another time.

When we got into the Airport in New Orleans it was late and Oliver was exhausted. We were standing by baggage claim when Mike came in and Oliver couldn't take his eyes off him the rest of the night. He just hugged him for a long time and didn't want to let him out of his sight, it was so cute!
