Up and Away!

Last night Little Man pulled himself up to stand for the first time!
He is very proud of himself and not very happy with anything else now, he just wants to be standing.
He's also quite brave. He likes to try to move around without any help, so I'm sure we'll have several bumps before he really gets the hang of it. :)
This is from tonight. He pulled himself up on Dad's footrest.

He's such a go-er now, we can't even keep him down long enough to get him dressed after his bath!

So, whenever I re-line the garbage can in the kitchen Oliver is scared of the liner. I've been telling Mike about it, and he was home when I did it yesterday. It was so funny, so we videoed it, poor child!

Up and Moving

Oliver has been moving more and more lately. He loves zooming around in his walker, so you'd better watch your toes, or he'll run them right over. Believe me, it's a little painful!

He's also starting to climb things. We were at the church and I was practicing the organ while he played on the floor. I turned around to find he had climbed the step and was turned around and about to come back down!
 Going up...

Ta-da! Coming back down...

Here are a couple more of him playing while I was practicing.

Little O also likes to stand a little lately. He looks so big when he does it, I just can't believe it! He can't stand by himself, or pull himself up, but if we help him stand up, then he can balance with some help.

At his check-up a couple weeks ago, the doctor said he could start using a sippy with some juice in it, so Mike and I went on the "great sippy hunt." It took us a little while, but we found one that he LOVES, so it was worth all the looking! :)
First time having juice... he really liked it.

Drinking all by himself, the little smarty.

 The new sippy!

It now pretty much has to go everywhere with us.

On Monday, we decided to head to the park for Family Home Evening. Oliver tried the baby swing for the first time a couple weeks ago, and we wanted to show Dad how he liked it.
 Oliver and Dad.

He doesn't mind the astroturf as much as he does real grass...

A squirrel was running around by us. We were hoping Oliver would notice it, but he didn't really see it.

 First time down the slide!

Dad had to try out whatever you call this... We think it must be the new alternative to the merry-go-round. Oliver liked it, and Mike said it hurt his arm. It's hard to see, but he's not on the ground, he's spinning a couple feet off the ground.

 Oliver and Mom.

He thinks he's so cool in the swing!

He really loved it, so we'll have to go back to this little park. It's the only one I've found so far with a baby swing.

We're missing all of you and hope you're enjoying your Springtime! :)

The Quiet Life

Oliver and I have just been enjoying being at home and playing.
Here are some cute videos of what we do sometimes.

He got this chick in his Easter basket from Grandma and Grandpa Fisher and Aunt Lindsay, and he loves it! Thanks guys!

In this one you can see some of his new trick, which is getting up on his hands and knees and rocking! It's so cute!

We hope your all enjoying your day, we miss all of you!

Easter

We enjoyed Easter. Celebrating our Savior's birth made it a peaceful day.

First we headed to church, where our Sacrament Meeting was a special musical program. I accompanied a sister while she sang a piece called "Gethsemane." She sounded beautiful and we were blessed it went well. Oliver wore his cute outfit Great Grandma Lindsay sent him for Valentine's Day and it was perfect!

After we got home from church, Oliver found his Easter basket and checked it out. The Easter Bunny had mixed in some things with what his Grandma and Grandpa Fisher and Aunt Lindsay had sent.

He loved his new stuff and plays with it all the time. He especially loves the car and the blocks. The books are so cute and are going to be perfect for church!

We got to skype with my family, and Oliver loved seeing everyone and showing off his scooting. He's getting pretty fast now. He also loves to high-five and we're working on waving. He waved at the security woman in the museum last week, but we haven't been able to get him to do it again, little munchkin!

Later, we had dinner with some friends from our ward. It was a nice dinner, and we played Apples to Apples, which is always fun! We missed our family, but had a neat Easter in Baton Rouge.

Oliver had one more Easter surprise yesterday...
He got a cute elephant chair from his Aunt Tauna, Uncle Steve, and Jesse.

As you can see, he already loves lounging in it. He especially loves how fuzzy it is!

Thanks Aunt Tauna, Uncle Steve, and Jesse! We love you! :)

Family Trip to NOMA

Last Wednesday we took a little family trip down to the New Orleans Museum of Art.
It was such a neat trip, even Oliver enjoyed himself!

We started by walking through the inside of the museum. We loved that it was set up by chronologically and by country, so you could see the progression of art in each country. After a while Oliver got hungry, so we headed back out to the car to feed him. We then put on the sunscreen and walked through the sculpture garden. The sculptures are always my favorite!

This one was one of my favorites. It was a man standing and a smaller man crouched on his shoulders. There was then a smaller man crouched on that man's shoulders, so on and so forth, until you couldn't see them anymore because they were so small.

The sculpture garden had a lake that had fish in it, so we tried to get a picture...

Oliver was obviously asleep by this point. :)

We stopped at Cabela's on our way home and showed the huge catfish to Oliver, he liked them.
He also liked this recliner that we found for him, isn't it perfect?! We thought his Grandma and Grandpa Fisher would be proud... :)

Growing Boy

It seems like Little Man is growing so fast!
Just today he had a tooth cut through and begin showing, it's so great.
Here are some pictures from the last couple weeks...

 Getting ready for a bath.

The best time to clip those little daggers that he grows each week is definitely nap time!

What a sweet, sleep baby!

He has enough hair for a "do"!

Playing with his toys. He loves sitting up now...
