Cleaning and Christmas

Finals are done and it's time to catch up with the disaster we call home. So, today I put everything back where it belongs, cleaned, and put up some of the cute Christmas decorations my mom brought me last week. Mike and I decided not to get too crazy this year since we won't even be here for Christmas, but it is fun to have some Christmas stuff up. :)This is the cute mini Christmas tree that we've had since I was little, I love it!

Sarah and Austin wanted us to have the angels that are playing instruments this year, it was so sweet of them!

Every home should have a nativity at Christmastime, even if it's just a little one...

Our neat centerpiece that Grandma Lindsay brought up for us.

Thanks guys, it was really sweet of you to think of us! We can't wait to see you soon!

Cold

My feet, and sometimes the rest of me as well, are always cold! We even keep our apartment quite warm, but I'm still cold. So, for my birthday, my sweet husband got me this little space heater so my feet wouldn't always be cold. I do my homework by it, watch movies by it, I pretty much almost live by it. Unfortunately, it inexplicable stopped working last night. :( So today Mike called the company to see what could be done. They said they're not sure what happened to it, but they'll send us a new one! Yay! I'll have to have cold feet for another 5-7 business days, but I guess I'll survive it somehow, haha!

Thanksgiving

We were sad to find that the roads were too bad for us to head to Washington for Thanksgiving. Instead, we headed toward Bear Lake on Wednesday afternoon. It took us twice the time it usually does because the roads were so bad, but we finally made it. We had dinner at my Grandma Fisher's house with my family, Lindsay Grandparents, and the missionaries. It was a fun time, and we're hoping we can get to Washington over New Year's. :)

Snow, Projects, and Disappointment

Well, we got up early this morning to get ready to go and Mike found that the roads to Washington were too bad for us to get there today. We're hoping maybe tomorrow or Wednesday, we'll see.
Tonight this is what it looks like outside our door. Yes, I'm an Idaho girl and I realize this isn't that much snow, but it is snowier than it looks in these pictures, the man that takes care of snow removal at our complex is just too efficient for me to get a good picture from inside our apartment!
And considering the fact that I walked across dry lawn 3 or 4 days ago, this is pretty good!

This is what we did instead of heading off to Washington today, we worked on Mike's huge project for one of his Child Development classes. It was really kind of fun actually! This is when we were making origami frogs.

Thanksgiving

Today my visiting teachers came to visit me and for the lesson we watched the Thanksgiving Mormon Ad. It's so good and it's not very long, so you should take a minute and watch it, it really reminded me of the purpose for Thanksgiving.

Oregon

For our honeymoon, we went to Oregon. It was so fun! We stayed in the cutest little bed and breakfast right by the coast and went for hikes and visited Tillamook and stuff.
Here's some of the windmills we passed on our way through Oregon. It was a pretty long road trip, so I sometimes occupied myself by taking pictures of whatever was going by. Haha!
The Air Museum in Tillamook. It was so neat!

The Wedding

Mike and I were married on August 19, 2010 in the Rexburg, ID Temple. Our wedding was wonderful! Thank you so much to all my family and friends that helped pull everything together and came to congratulate us! Here are some pics we got from the special day...

Our Blog

This is new for me, but I hope I can get the hang of it pretty quick! I'm excited to start updating it and hopefully be more diligent at taking pictures of what Mike and I are up to. Well, let's get started... :)
