We decided to bless Elliott before we left Idaho, so we could have some family there.
A couple weeks before the big day, we put the blessing outfit on him to make sure it fit. My mom kept the blessing outfit from Austin, and it was neat to see Oliver blessed in it. I was excited to make it a tradition in our family!
Unfortunately...
Someone is much more chunky than his brother and Uncle were!
So, we headed off to Logan and found a nice outfit that would fit our chunky-monkey.
Elliott's blessing day was so nice, we loved being able to share it with family!
Here's our Lil' O, looking very dapper.
He was so excited for baby brother's special day! When we grabbed the program at church he said, "It says Baby Elliott's Special Blessing Day." He then told everyone on the benches around us that it was Baby Elliott's Special Blessing Day.
Linds and O all ready to go.
Nana, Papa, and Linds with the grandsons.
We are so grateful to everyone that came, it really meant a lot to us! I wish I had gotten a picture of the whole group. My picture-getting skills are improving, but obviously still lacking... such is life.
We thought it would be fun to have a little birthday celebration for O at the same time, so he could celebrate with everyone before we left for Louisiana. Lil' O is obsessed with trains, so Nana Tamara found a little train that we could borrow for the afternoon to take rides in. It was so fun and O absolutely loved it!
I made him a rice crispy cake with Thomas and Old Puffer Pete on it, and he and Lindsay could hardly wait to eat it.
I wrote about how I did it on our blog, so if you're interested you can read my post: The Birthday Letters and Rice Crispy Cake.
Opening his presents...
It was such a nice afternoon. We feel so blessed to have our little Elliott, and to have shared his special day with those we love!
